2004 Cadillac DeVille

Big, fast, and luxurious.

Overview

The Cadillac DeVille is one of America's best-selling full-size luxury cars. As you'd expect of Cadillac's flagship sedan, the DeVille coddles its occupants with a roomy, luxurious interior.

The DeVille's powerful 4.6-liter V8 harmonizes with the smooth, responsive transmission, delivering quick acceleration and responsive passing performance. It feels solid and stable at high speeds, yet this big front-wheel-drive sedan offers surprisingly athletic handling, particularly the sporty DTS model.

DeVille is mostly unchanged for 2004, though new heated and cooled front seats are available.

Model Lineup

Cadillac DeVille comes in three distinctive models: The sporty DTS, the luxurious DHS, and the value-oriented DeVille base model. These are front-wheel-drive sedans powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine. The DTS is tuned for higher horsepower.

The standard DeVille ($44,650) looks and drives the most like a traditional Cadillac, and balances luxury and value.

DHS ($49,800) and DTS ($49,800) depart from Cadillac's old ways. They share retail prices and many features, but the DHS is more luxurious, while the DTS is sportier and more powerful.

A new armored version is available for increased security.
